Jeff had no idea what he was getting himself into when he asked me to be his.  He went from a single dad to a significant other with 3 kids.  He also inherited a second family with LOTS of family members.  Coming from a very small family this was alot for him to handle.  He and my middle son built a basketball goal out of an old kitchen table...but it worked.  Our 2 girls became very close and acted like real sisters...getting into trouble together but always having each other's backs.  Our home was always the place for family gatherings...lots of memories of BBQ in the back yard and the holidays.  He loved family and friends and never met a stranger.  He loved four wheelers and LOVED spending the weekends at the lake.  He loved his Mom with all his heart and would do anything for her.  She shared alot of her German recipes with me because that's what he grew up eating.  He loved working with his hands and LOVED making BBQ grills for people.  More than anything he enjoyed life!  One of his favorite words was Dammmmit!  Everyone that knew him will always remember him saying that word.  He always kept the yard beautiful and was so proud of the garden he grew each year and ALWAYS shared the crop!  He built an old Ford T Bucket which he loved riding in.  He took pride in his job as a truck driver.  These are just a few great memories!  We had lots of ups and downs but held on until God called him home.  He was tired and his work on Earth was done.
