Very sad to hear about Jeff, a good colleague and knowledgable railwayman. He was always helpful and pleasant. Nothing was too much trouble for him. I've very fond memories of our many chats in the office. R.I.P. Jeff.
Really saddened to hear of the news of Jeff's passing. Spent many a shifts chatting in Jeff's office at Wallgate while waiting for my return services. Such a lovely guy, and we always had a laugh together. Condolences to his family at this time. He will be remembered by so many at Northern.
I had the pleasure of meeting Jeff on a number of occasions. A lovely person and part of the family at Wallgate Station. God bless you Jeff, sleep well, RIP.
RIP Jeff, so saddened to hear of your passing, you were a pleasure to work with, your passion for the business and your position were without question, it was always known If you could assist you would and there are so many memories and recall of conversations which will leave a lasting smile. Sleep peacefully and thank you. x
I became concerned about Jeff when the gateline staff at Wigan said he had been given medical leave from work. He was such a friendly person to work with, very knowledgeable about the railway but a down to earth person as well. It is sad to say that when I first heard about how ill Jeff became I knew there would not be a happy ending but I wasn't expecting it to be so soon. I sent him a message on Facebook letting him know I am working at St Helens and wishing him well but sadly he wasn't able to get back in touch. Wallgate as a station and Northern as an organisation will definitely miss him. RIP
Really sorry to hear about the news of Jeff's passing, he was always a friendly face whenever I popped into his office. Deepest sympathies to his family at this sad time.
