Jeffery( Jeff) L. Ellis, age 73, of Pinson, Alabama went home to be his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ this past Friday, April 17, 2020 from cancer.

Jeff was preceded in death by his parents, Eather and Thelma Ellis of Birmingham. His brother, Ronnie Ellis, also preceded him. Jeff leaves a sister,Francis (James) White.

Jeff leaves behind a loving family; Kathy Ellis, his wife of 43 years. Sons; Gregory Ellis, Christopher ( Lisa) Ellis. Twin daughters; Kimberly Ellis, Dana Ellis. Seven grandchildren that just adored their Pawpaw. Numerous nieces and nephews.

Jeff graduated from Ramsey High School, where he was a stellar athlete especially on the baseball diamond. He held the interest of several major league teams until being injured in a motorcycle accident.

His baseball dreams behind him, Jeff became a working man, joining the NTD of the International Brotherhood of Boilermakers in the mid-1960s and was employed by CBI for many years, building tanks all over the southeast. Later he moved his Book into Local 108-Birmingham, where he retired from in 2004.

Jeff enjoyed fishing, working on automobiles, metal-detecting and playing with his grandkids Jeff was always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need as he proved so many times over the years. Whether, repairing your vehicle or selling you one of his own project cars or trucks.

Jeff and his wife, Kathy, were members of Sharon Baptist Church, Pinson. A intimate memorial of the immediate family will be held at their home on Friday, April 24, 2020
