You held my hand when I was small
You caught me when I fell
You're the hero of my childhood
And my later years as well
And every time I think of you
My heart still fills with pride
Though I'll always miss you Dad
I know you're by my side
In laughter and in sorrow
In sunshine and through rain
I know you're watching over me
Until we meet again
You will live on in our hearts forever Dad.
Tributes
Leave a tributeJeff could make me laugh. He and Linda together were like a comedy team! Somehow God crossed our paths from Brunswick schools, baptist church up bringing, his Certified gas station, living in Chatham, our kids being in school together, taking my son on their family vacation, and basically just being a friend at all times.
I have Jeff to thank for introducing me to Linda. The best part of the deal. Jeff was an accomplished and confident man who had an opinion on even his phone ringtone. I love all that he stood for and I am honored to call him and his family my friends. May God keep you close by in heaven, mostly so you can keep him laughing Jeff.
I also hope The Big Guy upstairs gives you a window to watch over your wife, children and grands as life goes on here. Rest in peace
However, as much as Jeff loved the game of golf, family was the most important thing in his life. Often as we were riding up and down the beautiful wooded hills of Rawiga C.C. we would talk about how we loved our wives and what a great life we had. At other times we would be winding our way around the lakes at Grey Hawk talking about our kids and what wonderful lives they had made for themselves. It was rare when Jeff didn't talk about his grandchildren as we played the wind swept third hole of Shale Creek. They were all special to him though spread out over three states.
Jeff, I'll always remember the great times we've had over the many golf courses we've played. So on be half of your foursome, Danny Morgan, Tom Luther, and myself, you will be missed, my friend, and I'm sure all of us hope to be reunited with you again one day.
Know that you will see him in heaven. He is up there telling stories about golf, hunting, travel, and family. He loved you so so much. Much love, Debbie, Bill, Christina, and Amy Frickey
I had the pleasure of working with Jeff at Alcoa for many years. I loved his spirit and his can do attitude. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, at this difficult time.
Please except my deepest condolences. It is unnatural to lose one so young in death. Although I didn't have the pleasure of knowing "Jeff", I wanted to share some peaceful thoughts that helped me when I lost my mom to the enemy, death. I've found comfort in knowing that "there is going to be a resurrection" (Acts 24:15) I hope that you'll find comfort in knowing that you can see your loved one again during a time when "death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." (Revelation 21:4)

Jeff painting.
- When Don & I bought our 1st home in 1970 on Lunn Rd. In Strongsville.O. we had to paint the whole house in & out. Jeff, Deb & Greg were very young but offered to paint. They started in closets. Muche paint on them as well as walls. We were so thankful for their help.
Jeff
No story, just fond memories of Jeff. He was always, always smiling, having a good time, making jokes, always having a story to tell. He loved life. A good buck story, a camping/hunting trip to explain. He loved his wife, daughters, and son. Then, all the grandchildren. He loved walking through the woods especially when the wife fell down a huge steep hill rolling in crap while he was looking for properity down in southern Ohio and there was only folded 2" x 2" wipes to clean up with. Or he was on a Alaskan cruise ship trying to hid from the "inlaws" and would go under water in the jacuzzi and wait for them to pass while breathing through a straw. Funny now as it was then. He was always the faithful husband/gentleman and show up at Lodi hospital with flowers and a kiss for Linda. Oh, so special. Lots of good memories. He enjoyed life everyday and lived it to the fullest. Linda was very lucky to have a man like that.
Much love and lots of memories, he will be missed.
