Kay was blessed with beautiful grandchildren and spent every minute possible with them.  She took them on trips to Disneyland and Sea World and gave them beautiful Christmases and birthdays.

Kay moved with her family to Tucson, Arizona in the mid 1970's where she began working for Dr John Pifer as a medical assistant.  She handled all the bookkeeping, billing, medical records, nursing as well as laundered all the linens and gowns.  Kay was tireless and rose at dawn every morning.  Kay attended Casas Adobes Baptist Church for many years and continually reached out to those in need.

Kay attended an all girls school where she graduated from high school.  Shortly after that she met and married the love of her life Arthur Wilhelm Nelson.  They were married on February 14, 1975 and had their first son Arthur Wilhelm II and then Jeremy Lee three years later.

Kay was born at County Memorial Hospital in Coshocton Ohio on August 21, 1955.  Her sister Ann was born the year before.  Ellen was born a few years later and Maureen after that.  Kay and her sisters spent a lot of time with their Grandma Esther singing songs and playing the piano.  Later when her mother remarried she and her sisters worked in the restaurant he owned.
