Her life and career were all too short.
I remember, I think it was the mid 1980s, she ran
a campaign headquarters, across the street from
where I lived (437 E Third st). I remember
wandering in, and seeing all the energetic
young hispanic aides in the office, asking me
to vote for her. I knew she was special.
