His Life

Jeremy Harris, of St. Petersburg, FL, IUEC Local 74 member, died Thursday, February 5, 2015.  He was 42.  His heart was bigger than his body could hold.  He died peacefully in his sleep.

Jeremy Harris was born in Washington, DC.  He attended La Plata High School, in La Plata, MD.  He was a member of The International Union of Elevator Constructors (IUEC) since 1996.  He relocated to Pinellas County, FL in 2008.  He loved hockey - Washington Capitals, and enjoyed fishing, football - Washington Redskins and loved all children.  He was a loving husband and adored his children.  He had the most wicked sense of humor and made all around him laugh.

He is survived by his wife, Cristy Harris and their four children, Jessica, James, John and Jillian; his Father and Step-Mother, Gary Scott Harris and Teresa Bigbee, of Clinton, MD, Mother, Joan Harris of Waldorf, MD, sister Erin Harris of Baltimore, MD, his wife’s family, “Mom” and “Grandpa” Joong and Yon Choi, his extended family that he loved as his own, Cynthia & Peter Benelli, Trisha & Shanon Hoover, Daniel Reese and Bryan Reese.  Uncles Michael Buckler, Charlie Buckler, Aunts Eileen Brown, Carol Buckler, cousins who he loved dearly, Jennifer Vodzak, Mickey Buckler, Brendon Buckler and especially Matt Brown and his Mema, MariJo Buckler.

He was preceded in death by his beloved PopPop "Mickey" and Grandmother-in-Law Dorothy Violet.  Maybe they be together in peace.

Viewing will be held on his birthday Wednesday, February 11th, from, 4:00 - 8:00 PM at National Cremation, 4945 East Bay Drive, Clearwater, FL 33764

Services will held by Jeremy’s cousin Rev. Fr Brendan Buckler of Washington, NC, on Thursday, February 12th, 12:30 PM at St Catherine-Siena Catholic, 1955 Belcher Road South, Clearwater, FL 33764

The family wishes to extend their gratitude to St Catherine-Siena Catholic, Pinellas County Regional Juvenile Detention Center staff, Mobius Industries USA, Inc. and James Yohn and all of IUEC Local 10 and 74.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider donations to the help set up a college fund for his two youngest children, John 14 and Jillian 5.
