Jesse Heard was born on April 6, 1943 in Lanett, AL to the late Bennie Heard and Janie Williams. God gave him his wings, and called him home on September 26, 2016 at the Wedowee Hospital in Wedowee, AL.

Jesse accepted Christ at an early age and united with the St. John Baptist Church.

He was a product of the Lanett City School System where he was a member of the 1960 graduating class of Lanier High School.

After high school, Jesse moved to Brooklyn, NY and later joined the Military. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Jesse was join in Holy Matrimony Sylvia Booker, and from this union six children were born.

He was preceded in death by his step-father, Mr. Virgil Williams and a host of aunts, uncles.

Mr. Heard leaves to cherish his memory: his wife Sylvia Heard, Brooklyn New York; three sons, Dwune(Aricka) Heard, Fredericksburg ,VA, DuShun Heard, Brooklyn New York, Michael(Vanita) Bonner , Valley, AL; four daughters, Tanisha Heard, Woodstock, GA, Lacair(Gary) Hackett, , Natalie Heard, k, Lena Heard all of Brooklyn, NY; 22 grand children, 6 great grandchildren; his loving mother, Mrs. Janie Williams, Lanett, AL; sister, Celia(Robert) Thomas, Atlanta, GA; niece, Erica Thomas, Atlanta, GA; two nephews, Maceo (Angela) Thomas ,Macon, GA, and Christopher Thomas, Atlanta, GA, and a host of other relatives and friends.
