Jesse James Jackson was born June 15, 1941
in Midway, AL to the late Doris Allen Jackson
and Louis A. Jackson. He was the oldest of
seven children. He was also preceded in death
by two of his siblings.

Honorably discharged from his duties, Jesse
served in the United States Army from 1966
until 1968. Following a productive career, Jesse
retired from Sara Lee Bakery in Birmingham,
AL.

He was baptized at Morning Star Missionary
Baptist Church on June 22, 2014 by Rev.
Tommy Cooper, Sr.

Those left to cherish Jesse’s precious memories
are: his sisters, Doris A. Jackson and Donna
E. Jones, both of Atlanta, GA; brothers,
Louis (Cynthia) Jackson, Jr., Memphis, TN
and Henry Lee Jackson, Atlanta, GA; along
with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and
friends.
