Her Life

Mrs. Jessie Mae Malone-Lovelace, first child of the late, Mr. Walter Jesse James and Mrs. Lizzie Mae Gilliam-Malone, was born September 12, 1927 in Troup County, Georgia. On Saturday, June 4, 2016 at her resident, God called another one of his children home to depart from this life to be at eternal peace.

 

 

Jessie grew up in the Gabbetville Community and attended Union School. Later, Jessie moved to Newnan, Coweta County, GA, her father’s birthplace, with her aunt to pursue a better education. During her stay in Newnan, Jessie attended Pinson Street School, where she received her formal education. After moving to the New Harmony Community, she attended the Society Hall School in which her mother paid the tuition in eggs. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and personal savior and joined the New Harmony CME Church, where she served on the Stewardess Board. .

 

 

Jessie was affectionately known as "Bye Hey” and “Ms. Jessie” by family member and friends. She lived a wonderful and FULL life. Her hobbies were fishing, cooking, working cross word puzzles, listening to music, watching wrestling and traveling. For many, many years, she hosted all day fishing outings for her brothers when they would visit during the summer from Wisconsin. There wasn't a catfish lake in GA or AL that she didn't know about. She was the owner of a collection of 45’s and LP’s that she purchased during the 40’s, 50’s, and 60’s era in which she treasured until her passing.

 

Mrs. Jessie”, in addition to her parents, was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lovelace, Sr.; daughter, Linda Gayle Lovelace; son Earl Lamar Lovelace; granddaughter, Ericka Lovelace; two brothers, Robert C. Malone and Walter Malone Jr.

 

 

Mrs. Lovelace leaves to cherish her memories, three children, Robert Lovelace, Jr. Newnan, GA, Peggy Lovelace, Union City, GA, Michael Lovelace, Sr., West Point, GA; siblings, George Malone, Milwaukee, WI; Lizzie Pearl. Mathis, West Point, GA, Jimmy Malone, Memonee Falls, WI, Catherine Malone Fannings, Lanett, AL, Eddie Malone, Berkley, CA; Johnny C. Malone, West Point, GA; six sisters-in-law, Gertrude Lovelace Reed, Susie Lovelace James, Margaret Copeland Malone, Betty Gray Malone, Susan Kramer Malone, Elouise Taylor Malone; eight grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 3 great great grandchildren,a host of nieces, nephews, other family members and friends.
