Jetter Carlton Hobgood, 86, a longtime resident of Wake County, passed away Monday, January 2, 2012 at his home.
 

A native of Wake County, the son of the late Jimmie and Mattie Hobgood Hobgood.  He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and a retired tobacco farmer.

Funeral Service will be conducted at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 6, 2012 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor by Rev. Thomas Lamm, Sr.  Burial with Masonic Rites will be in O’Briant-Hobgood Family Cemetery on Boyce Bridge Road in Creedmoor.

Surviving are a sister, Shirley Sorem of Ames, Iowa, a niece, Cora Ray of the home and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 – 2:00 PM Friday, January 6, 2012 at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor prior to the funeral services and other times at the home.

I would like to remember the toughest man I ever knew! Welding with no shoes and would put a cigarette out bare foot! A friend and a brother that Northside (GODS country) will dearly miss! RIP Jetter! My fraternal brother!
