Well, I’m sad to say I’m just realizing on her birthday that she passed.  We worked together at BOCES.  We had so many great times and laughs together.  I would have never survived working there if not for my dear friend Jill.
 We went to Martha’s Vineyard and I created all kinds of trouble.   We had the police chasing us for taking pictures at Jackie O estate, missed the ferry going home and Jill wound up having an asthma attack from the winery.  Needless to say, I was never invited back.  
We lost touch over the years, but reunited via Facebook messenger in recent years.  I had hoped to visit with her in rehab, but everything was locked down.
Jill had such a big heart and was a true friend.  
 

If you needed to know something about Special Education laws, Jill Sparkman was the one. I remember sitting in many SSST/SIT meeting and Jill was my go to person..kept me on the right path, advocated for all students and parents. Jill was full of strategies,modifications and accommodations..all based on Special Education practices..Jill made my job easy and accountable. Thank You Jill for caring about the hundreds of students you advocated for.

Jill Sparkman always had a smile on her face no matter what the situation..Jill carried inner strength within her that always came out. I will miss her as I know that others will also...she was my sister from another mother..she was my girl..I know she is now walking the golden streets in heaven smiling and singing.
Rest in Heaven..my girl..we will meet again Love you so much
