Jill J. Guthrie,54, formerly of Rankin & East Lynn, passed away at 2:33 p.m. Saturday, July 2, 2011 in Danville, Indiana after being involved in an automobile accident.

Jill was born June 20, 1957 in Paxton to Oscar & Vera Raymond Johnson. She married Gene Allen Guthrie February 2, 1985 in East Lynn. Gene survives as well as: Three sons: Geoffrey A. Guthrie of Danville, Indiana, Greggory A. Guthrie of Danville, Indiana, and Gary A. Guthrie of Danville, Indiana; Two daughters: Gretchen A. Guthrie of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Gina A. Guthrie of Danville, Indiana; Three brothers: Richard (Beulah) Johnson of Taylorville, Illinois, Marvin Johnson of Danville, Illinois, and Larry (Sherry) Johnson of East Lynn, Illinois; one sister-in-law: Christine Johnson of Savoy, Illinois. Jill was preceded in death by her parents and one brother: DeWayne.

She was a member of the Sidell United Methodist Church, and the YMCA of Avon, Indiana, and enjoyed shopping, cooking, gardening, swimming, and photography. She was currently on the staff of Hendricks Regional Hospital in Danville, Indiana as a dietary aide.

Funeral services 11 a.m. Friday, July 8, 2011 at the Bowman Avenue United Methodist Church in Danville, Illinois. Dr. Phillip Icenogel & Rev. David Powell to officiate, burial in the Floral Hill Cemetery at Hoopeston. Visitation is from 9:30 a.m. till service time on Friday at the church. Robison Chapel of Catlin is handling the service arrangements.
