This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Jim Auge.

James J. "Jim" Auge, 75, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on June 10, 2021. Jim was born on September 19, 1945 in Fort Madison, Iowa, the son of Anthony and Mary Margaret (Cullen) Auge.

He leaves behind his wife Patricia (Herlihy) Auge of 52 years; two daughters, Jeanine Cooper and her husband Michael, Nicole McCarthy and her husband Chris; one son Matthew Auge; four grandchildren, Jamie Wagner and his wife Danielle, Jacob Therrien, Hope (Sully) McCarthy, and Madison McCarthy; two great grandchildren, George and Abigail Wagner; his siblings and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He graduated from Aquinas High School in 1964 and enlisted in the US Navy in 1966. He spent 1967 to 1969 on the sub Dogfish and loved to tell stories of his time on the sub. Jim was an Environmentalist and started the Environmental program KEEP in Fort Madison in the early 1970’s. Jim and Patricia moved to Massachusetts in the early 1970’s where Jim graduated from New Hampshire College in 1980. Jim worked for the Massachusetts Water Resource Authority.

Jim enjoyed gardening, history, and spending time with his family. He was a true family man. He loved being a Papa and would spend hours with his grand and great grandchildren sharing his hobbies with them. His jokes and laugh will be greatly missed.
