My husband, love of my live and best friend.
We both fell in love at first site, at the age of 14. We met on the same day that he had moved from Michigan back to N.C. We actually started school the same year, at the same school in 1964 (Creedmoor N.C.) but did not know that at the time. He had to leave with his parents and moved to Michigan, where he lived for 9 years. Then, in 1972, he moved back to N.C. (Northside). Where we met on the same day that he moved back. And it was LOVE at first site for both of us. We were only 14 yrs old at the time. We courted on a horse before getting our drivers licenses. Riding on that horse is the first time that I said the words I LOVE YOU. and he said I LOVE YOU TOO. From there, we were high school sweethearts. He played baseball in High School and was one (H) of a catcher. I loved watching him play baseball. I was so proud of him. We graduated from South Granville High School (Creedmoor) June 4, 1976 (Spirit of 76). We got married Feb. 9, 1980. We had a son that was born on June 4, 1985. Nine years after the date of our graduation. You cannot plan that. What happened to Jimmie was very bad, and there is still no known reason what took place...They just called it (ARDS). Which stands for Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome). He retired after 30 years with Verizon, in June 2008 and got sick in Nov. 2009. He has been a very sick man, since Nov. 2009. This is a hard time for Me and David. Please keep us in your prayers. Thank you all for the prayers. I miss him so much and always will. He was the light of my life and always will be.
Thank you all for the comments.
Love u all,
Jo Ann and David Stephenson
