Jimmy Lee was born May 28, 1978, in Wichita Kansas, the son of Jimmy Lee Johnson Sr. and Loretta Irene Rayton.

He attended East Heights School, Central Junior High and graduated from Lawrence High School in 1996. He played football from the age of 8 through high school. He also participated in Golden Gloves boxing and Little League baseball.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Jimmy Lee is loved and cherished by all who knew him.
