Mr. Jimmy Piper, 74, of West Point Georgia passed away October 9, 2011 at East Alabama Medical Center.

Born Wednesday, April 7, 1937 in Roanoke Alabama, he was the son of the late Alfred Piper and Christine Piper Siggers.

An active member of Grace Baptist Church, Mr. Piper was retired from the United States Air Force and a member of the Ham Radio Club, known as W4HON.

Mr. Piper is survived by his wife, Mrs. Barbara Hill Piper; daughters, Mrs. Jennifer (Phillip) Simpson of Warner Robins, GA and Ms. Terri Dremann of LaGrange, GA. Son, Bobby (Angie) Hill of Ranson, West Virginia; grandchildren, Jimmy (Hannah) Simpson of Rome, GA., Jon Simpson of Warner Robins, GA, Katie (Patrick) Norlock of Warner Robins, GA., Cason Dremann and Colby Dremann, both of LaGrange, GA. Sister, Mrs. Marsha (Dean) Blackstock of Valley, AL.; Sister-in-Law, Deane (Nesbert) Stone of Lanett, AL

Funeral services will be held from Grace Baptist Church in LaGrange, Georgia at 2:00pm on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, with the Reverend Donnie Benefield. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to services. Burial followed at Fairfax Cemetery in Valley, Alabama.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Building Fund of Grace Baptist Church, 3731 West Point Road, LaGrange, Georgia 30240.
