Jimmie Terrell born to the late Jack Terrell and Mattie Lizzie Philpot Terrell on April 8, 1922 in Troup County.

He was married to Eddis Russell for 67 long years. To this union eight children were born. Two sons, Jimmie, Jr. and Robert preceded him in death; Also, one brother, R. J. Terrell and a sister, Gennie Evans preceded him in death.

At an early age, Jimmie joined Springfield Baptist Church. He attended public school in Troup County. He served a short tour of duty in the U. S. Army. Jimmie was a truck driver for many many years. However, most people knew him as a mechanic that could fix any car. He was loved by many people in Hogansville and other communities.

Jimmie leaves to cherish his memory, wife Eddis Terrell; five daughters, Patricia A. Terrell (Leroy), Carol Terrell, LaVonne Maiden, Deborah Jackson, Janet Phillips; one son, Raphael (Wanda); also cherishing his memory is a host of
grandchildren, great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and many friends.
