Jim, I only knew you for a few years through York Singles.  If I had to use one word to describe you, it has to be "gentleman". Your kindness, concern for others, wit, and I could go on.
You are missed dear friend.

My deepest condolences to all of Jim's wonderful family. Jim was a great person; I got to know Jim through our extended family annual family reunions  in the 1970's 80's and 90's. Jim was easy to get to know, just a great guy with many interests and so much to give. At the top of his priority list was his family. Special hugs and prayers for you. God bless Jim.

My fondest memory of Jim is when I got to know him at Music Camp in 2018. I had been working at the camp and was very stressed and he helped ground me and was a familiar face to share meals with. He always got the water or his special coffee concoction and was so comforting in a very stressful time. On the Saturday when the performances take place we were in the theatre watching an ancient dancing workshop, all were encouraged to participate. We figured why not, so we got up to try. Well we both had 4 left feet between us and we were laughing so hard we could barely stand up. That will remain my fondest memory of a very quiet man who I was so glad to have gotten to know better. Lakefield just won't be the same this year.
