Mrs. Pieratt was born Saturday, July 31, 1937, in Shawmut, Alabama, the daughter of the late Daisy Doris Burnett and Jesse Frank Oliver. She was a wife, mother and homemaker who loved her family... Mrs. Pieratt attended Antioch Baptist Church.

Mrs. Pieratt is survived by her husband, James Pieratt of Valley; her sons, Tom Lavender of Phenix City, Alabama and Steven Anthony (Loretta) Smith of Huguley; her step daughter, Tammy Pieratt Talbot of Manchester, Tennessee; her grandchildren, Jenny (Lloyd) Albertson, Julie (Jason) Melton, Jessica (Bill) Cannon, Jedediah (Chandler) Smith, Annie Smith, Cheyenne Carden and Ethan Carden; her great grandchildren, Elijah Albertson, AnnaJane Albertson, Jack Albertson and Kylie Dempsey; her special cousins, Lamar and Pat Cantrell. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Hugh L. Smith; her daughter, Jennifer Cara Carden; her son, Alan Hugh Smith and her brother, Donald Lewis Oliver.
