This memorial website was created in the memory of Mom mom, Joan Anne Reed-Ljachin. She was an amazing grandmother, mother, wife, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She was given by God on June 22, 1937 and taken by God on January 18, 2011. She accomplished so much in her 73 years with us. She leaves behind her loving, devoted husband Alex Ljachin, 7 Children (Joe, Donna, Linda, Diane, Joanne, Billy, & Theresa), 17 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren, all of whom she touched in a special way. Her family loved her beyond words, and she loved them very much; it showed it everything she did. She was sadly taken from us way too soon, but we will remember her forever. Please help us remember the happy times, funny stories, and the memories she shared with all those who had the privledge of knowing her, and share them with us; help us keep her alive in our hearts. The world truly lost one of the greatest women I've ever known...but God gained the perfect angel and she will be watching over each one of us.

Hi Mom, its been 5yrs since the angels took you from us, every bird i see, every butterfly I see, every song I here I think of you, I know you are still here watching over your family, since you have been gone 6 new great grandsons have been born and in march a great granddaughter, her name is gona be Emma Rose, I wish you were here to see her and the boys they are so cute and funny each one has a different personality, please watch over us all, I love you mom to the moon and back, until we see each other again

Continued... you were both taken way too soon. I wish you could be here to meet Steven he is the coolest little baby and such a great gift... he is like the little baby brother I always wanted! It is sad to know you won't be here to watch him grow up and see Dawn and Steve's special day. I wish you and poppop Alex were still here, but I am glad you two are together again!

I can't believe it has been two years already... everyday we go on with our lives trying to forget the hurt we feel everyday without you. I will never forget the day I was told we had to go to the hospital because you were not going to make it. I didn't know what to feel or say, all I knew was that I was loosing an important part of my life. Not only did we loose you but we lost poppop...

I am so so sorry for your loss. I didn't know her well but remember the warmest of smiles. As teenagers we spent many a nite at "Little T's" house and Mrs. Reed welcomed us all knowing how loud and rowdy we would be. She would just smile and open the door on up for us. A huge part of my teenage years were being part of the Reed family. I never called Joan by her name it was Mom! As we all did.She always welcomed us to her home and she is what made that house a home. I loved, respected and very much thought of Mom as years went on and I grew older. I like to begin by saying that my heart and prayers are with the Reed family for your great loss, your mother was an incredible person! I have so many fond memories of her I wouldn't know where to begin but I will always remember how kind she was to everyone! When I worked in Germantown I would always try to drive by her house just to make sure everything was okay! I will never forget her!
