So glad for the reminder to remember Joan. Our lives becomes so consumed with all the things that bombard us each day that it's good to take time to remember a dear friend. Joan - our little group - Barb Moran, Barb Fowler, Rosalie Davis and I will remember you today at our luncheon get together. Stories will be told and there will be laughter because your upbeat personality brought that to our group get togethers.

Now it's been 7 years since we lost you from our lunch bunch. We had such a great group of 7 of us "specialists" - you were the librarian but we had 2 music, 2 art and 2 physical education. Only one of us is still teaching and can't always go to lunch. We're down to 3 of us now because 2 live in different states. Covid has kept us trying to stay safe at home so lunches have been very few and far between. The 3 of us more recently got together to celebrate my 79th birthday. How did I get this old? I don't blame you, Joan, for keeping your age your secret. That's how I'm beginning to feel. Joan - you are forever missed.

Mom D- How can it be this long since you left this earth?? You and your laugh and cockamamie stories are missed. I laughed so hard at Linda's post above because Cara and I still laugh that you told the lunch bunch crew that you were "around their age"! LOL!!! That is so something you would do!! Thanks to her friends for posting, it means a lot :)

Has it been 4 years? Our "lunch bunch" still gets together but not as often as we used to. We still marvel at how we thought you were our age and how you fooled us. We would never have know because your age did not define you. You often had us laughing because sometimes you were "direction" challenged when we picked a new spot to eat and you had to find it. I remember you liked a glass of wine with your meal. Those were good times we had together and we miss you. Happy birthday, Joan!

Joan continues to be remembered by our retired "lunch bunch" group that had meals together many times with her. Some of us met today and, as we remembered her, we laughed about how she managed to keep her true age a secret. She is certainly missed in our gatherings. Happy Birthday, Joan!   8/27/15

Happy Birthday to Mom D- she would have been 80 today (although she would have denied it to her friends)!!! I miss her very much and know that heaven is the place to be but it is still a loss without her here on earth.
Thanks to everyone who made her life so much richer and gave her smiles and laughs - she really enjoyed life:)

Our luncheon get togethers have not been the same without Joan. She always kept us laughing about something. We also appreciated the information she shared with us that she presented at senior centers. Joan kept us up on all kinds of information - a very well-read lady.
Happy Birthday, Joan!

To my wonderful cousin whom I adored, I had many wonderful times with you and I am missing you so much. I will never forget you. I still can't believe I will not see you and your smile again. Thanks for all the great memories.

I will miss Joan at our "lunch bunch" gathering of BASD specialists. Our times together won't be the same without her. Joan was fun to be with and a wonderful friend. Thanks to her, she helped many students develop a love for books and reading. She also did a great job being Mom D to Eileen and Cara. Many thanks to both of you for having the memorial service at the Brass Rail so we could meet your family and share remembrances of Joan. Blessings, Linda.

I remember meeting Joan in 1998, my first year of teaching library in BASD. She was truly a wonderful person. She was kind, thoughtful, and caring. She made me feel welcome, and she always had a smile for me. I will never forget her. I'm so glad I had the opportunity to work with her during her years in BASD. She was a beautiful person, inside and out.

It is with great sadness that we just learned of Joan's passing. She was a long time member of the Lehigh Valley B&B's Square and Round Dance Club, and held several positions on the board. She will be missed by all of us that knew her.

I had the pleasure of meeting our mom and working with her at Fountain Hill Elementary School from 1991-1995. She was always a positive person and much fun to be around. She had the knack of cheering me up on some low days. I am sorry to her of her passing.
