Our mother died 5 weeks after our father, William John Moynihan Jr., who died on October 19 2011.

There was a joint memorial service with her husband’s military honors, for family and friends, at 11am on Saturday December 3rd, 2011, at the VFW/American Legion post #109, 15921 S. Houghton Road, Corona de Tucson, AZ 85641. A reception followed.
In Joan’s memory, donations may be made to any AIDS, or Women’s support charities. Consider becoming an Organ Donor.

Bill, I can certainly relate. Here it is seven years after my Mother's passage - and still, I am so prone to hurt if my blood sugar gets low. Nancy is right on target with the eating advisory. Peace be with you in this time of grief. We'll catch up with them. Our separation is only temporary.

I just want to say to you daughters, or family all of you - that you have created the nicest, most wonderful obituary I have ever seen. I did not know your mother but I would give anything if I had known her. What a woman she must have been to produce a family with such respect and creativity and class. My eyes started tearing when I read your message but then I realized it's really a happy ending for the love these two people shared.
