She was born in Chambers County March 24, 1940 to the late James Homer Hurst and the late Sara Annie Lauderdale Hurst, she was a member of the LaFayette Heights Baptist Church, and retired from Master Brands in Auburn, Alabama.

 Survivors are her 2 Children-Debbie (Paul) Miller of Jackson's Gap, Al., Mike Hunt of LaFayette, Al., 1 Sister-Peggy Blanton of Marcoot, Al., 3 Brothers-Pete Hurst of West Point, Ga., Ed (Marie) Hurst of LaFayette, Al., Larry (Cindy) Hurst of LaFayette, Al., 2 Grandchildren-Brian (Deanna) Miller and Brandi (Bobby) Lamberth and 7 Great Grandchildren.
