Borne to Weld & Gladys Maybee, Joann was the third of 4 children borne in Detroit, Michigan. Raised during a depression, times were simpler compared to today. Streets and communities were safer as well. Like her earthly Dad, Joann was soft spoken yet carried a big stick. Of course she didn't use it much. She stood all of 5' 1/4" and was shapely given her heigth. As one of her children, her and I didn't always agree on everything, yet we did agree that we were individuals with a variety of thoughts and opinions. Near the end, she backed me up 100% when it came to any decision I encountered. Regardless of which way I decided to go in and with my life, she may not have liked my decision or choice, but she backed me up anyway. She was, I believe, that wa with ALL her children. I Love You Mo
