Joanne was much more to me than my cousin...she was one of my best friends. I'll forever miss our lunches and regular lengthy conversations...we never ran out of things to talk about. She was intensely wise and talented. My memories with her will forever remain in my heart.

My Aunt had a smile that would light up a room. I will always remember as a kid her and my mom at holidays just laughing and smiling and having an all around good time. I recently had a chance to visit my Aunt in May and I truly enjoyed seeing her. She was such an awesome artist I'm blown away by her talent. I will miss her dearly. My love goes to the rest of the family and friends at this time as well.

I assisted Joanne many times at the Napa Valley Genealogy Library in getting her data base of ancestors up to date. She was a lovely woman who had a great sense of humor. She had a lot of enthusiasm for her genealogy project, and was busily inputting her pictures into her data base. In fact, just before she passed, she sent me an email saying that we needed to get together as she needed to catch up after being in the hospital. I will greatly miss working with her.
