Joe was an exceptional person to all that came to know him. He made friends easily and accepted all of the challenges that life threw at him with gusto. He was a best friend to many. He was a very accomplished automotive mechanic, equipment designer and a successful entrepreneur, building Chicane Sport Tuning into one of southern California's top auto tuning centers. Joe grew up in Michigan, Ohio and Florida. He played football and graduated with honors from high school in Ocala, FL. While there he had the opportunity to work on formula Ford race cars and learned the benefits and satisfaction of being a perfectionist. He joined the Army and spent most of his four years in Ft. Ord, California. He was assigned to the artillery and proud of his service. He was honorably discharged as a Sgt. E-5. He stayed in California after his discharge and soon met Steve Saleen and the Saleen Allen racing team and the rest is history. After many years with the Saleen people, he started his own more specialized and personalized performance shop and was rewarded for his passion by his successes over the past 15 years.
