Joe is and always will be the love of my life, we were childhood sweet hearts and finally after years passed a call from my sister that he was still in selma a phone call was made and we were together again as time seemed to stand still, until the dreaded day we found out he had cancer. Joe was so loving even though he was hurting. We were side by side until God took him home. He was the baby boy in a large family had 7 brothers and 8 sisters. He will always be loved and forever have a place in many peoples hearts. Joe would bend over backwards to help anyone or to give his heart to the work he was doing. He always made sure he said I love you when he would go to town or when he left for work even if it meant to wake me and his daughter up to tell us. Joe has a wonderful family who helped us through good and bad times with his illness even still helps after 4 years of his passing. I will always love and cherish him as will his entire family and friends.
