This world is less for me now. Bro-Joe, Joe-Joe, Joe-Blo. Those silly nicknames we Jacoby's gave each other.
My brother was a good man. He treated people well. He helped anyone. Mom, all of us. At one time or other he bailed one of us out of whatever predicament.
His suffering has ceased. My heart is cut open. I & Rob were his first friends in life. Tra, his little sister, protective.

Joe was a good man. He loved his family more than anything. He had a dry and clever sense of humor, and chose his friendships carefully. He was a problem solver with a poet's heart. I saw him fight bravely when cancer ambushed him, and he never lost his sense of humor. I will miss him more than I could have imagined.

Joe will be missed every single day. There won't be a day that goes by where we wont think about him in 1 way or another. Every time I hear "Wish You Were Here" by Pink Floyd, I know he'll be right next to me. We love you Joe!! Thanks for making us laugh & helping me out, when I was down. I'll miss your wry sense of humor as well. Rest peacefull bro. Love, your sister Tracy ) :

The Fisherman's Son

June 20, 2012

The trout are running deep today, the catfish even deeper.
My Dad and I sit in our boat, both hoping for a keeper.
Our bait is fresh, our knots are tight,
The sun is high and shining bright.
We'll fish until the "skeeters" bite.
And in our dreams, we'll fish all night.
God bless you, Joe, and both our Dads.
