There isn’t a day that goes by or even a second that I don’t miss you. 20 years with you wasn’t enough. I love you more then you will ever know. Watch over our babies
We will be together soon. I love you ❤️

his Life

The Beginning.

Joel was born on the island of Azores, Portugal.  He lived on the island until he was 14   That’s when his family made way to The states. He is one of 6 children.  He has 4 survinging siblings and a Brother Samuel who passed away In 2014. Joel was the most hard working and loving man I’ve ever met. My husband would do anything for anyone but would also tell you like it is at the same time. He would do anything for his children and myself (his wife ).  Joel and I met in 2001.  He was a single parent of 2 and I was a single mother of 3’ We instantly knew we were for each other   We blended out families beautifully where it became one. Joel and I had our first child Carmen in 2003 a year later 2004 our son Joel Jr and 2005 our daughter Joanna the baby
Joel worked hard but always put us first as I did him. 20 crazy but amazing years spent and really wished for 20 more.  Joel was so goofy and could make you laugh with the most cheesiest of remarks but that was him. Always messing around. Joel’s brother Samuel passed away in 2014 and a few short months later Joel became ill. Drs not knowing what was happening and after almost a year of tests and not knowing we got the answers we were looking for Joel had been diagnosed with with PULMONARY FIBROSIS  a disease that scars the lungs incredibly fast that the lungs lost elasticity and making it very hard for you to breath
After seeing the specialist they told us the life expectancy of this disease was no more then 5 years but Joel’s was progressing quickly they told him he would be lucky to see passed a year. Joel had a very hard time. Hospitized often. Struggled. But he pushed.  He had a strong support system in his children and myself on a daily. Encouragement and giving up wasn’t an option ! We had each other. Joel was so strong like nothing I’ve ever seen. He was my love , my husband , my best friend , father of my children and papa to our beautiful grandchildren. We fought many obstacles in the 20 years we were together but we got thru every single one. Joel passed a 1 month short of our 20th anniversary
