JOSEPH'S OBITUARY
     With heavy hearts we say goodbye to a husband, father and papa. Joe was born on September 27, 1933 to Edith and Charles Hamm.

     Joe graduated from Joplin High School, where he was an avid football player. He worked at the local ice cream shop in the 1940s. In 1970 he retired from "The Joplin Globe", he then went to work at the "Kansas City Star" for years and retired to his farm, in Jerico Springs, Mo., with his wife and children. He loved hunting, fishing, and riding 4-wheelers with his grandchildren.

     Joe is survived by his wife and beautiful soul mate of 51 years, Margaret Hamm; his children, Cindy, Mike, Kay and Kenny and his wife, Brigitte Pippin, Neosho, Linda and her husband, Gary Sloan, Leavenworth, Kan., Bob Pippin, Duenweg, Chris Pippin, Webb City, John Pippin, Joplin, Peggy and her husband, Stan Cauble, Webb City, Kathy and her husband, Doug Lawson, Joplin, Michael Pippin, Webb City; 13 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren. Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Edith and Charles Hamm; two brothers, John and Charles (Jr.) Hamm; two sisters. Ruth Love, Mary Jane Evans; and son, Ed Pippin.

     Joe left this world knowing he was loved dearly. He will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.

     Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Mount Hope Cemetery, Webb City.
