His Life
February 4, 2019

Joey was born February 6th 1973, to Debbie and Cliff Chadwell.  Joey grew up in the Spokane Valley and was an avid and amazing soccer player throughout his childhood, high school, and college years.

Born with the gift of being an amazing athlete, he also had the drive and determination to be the best.  Joey achieved and set many records though out his high school and college career. He traveled with his brother Ben to Europe, playing for the Spokane Skyhawks then onto Central Valley high school.   During high school he was offered scholarships to many schools, but ultimately chose to play at Spokane Community college with his longtime teammates.

11 years ago, Joey learned the devastating news that he had ALS.  A horrible shock to himself and his entire family.  But, in true Joey fashion, he faced it head on.  Fighting the disease that would paralyze his once strong and active body.  In the midst of adversity, he taught his children to be strong, stand tall, and above all trust in God.  His devout faith never wavered and he trusted that God had a plan for him, and that this was his journey.

We are thankful he is no longer suffering, we know he is up there, asking God a million questions, and running and kicking that soccer ball around again.

Joeys children, Kimberlyn Kylee and Max would like to invite you to a celebration of their dads life, and reflect on the amazingly strong person he was, and is....

A celebration of his life will be:
