Never forgotten! Still have dreams of my friend Joey G. His friendship from grade two to six is still with me. I had to move but came back to see him in 1999 what a cool guy man. Got to jig with him an stayed at his house for sleep overs a bunch with his family. Man I never met a kinder person I don't remember Joey ever being mad or angry just always happy an joking around he was kinda like a big brother to me. Like I said he's not gone he's in my dreams an in my heart I will never forget him an his family they were all kind to me. Love you brother! Miss you!

I can't belive after this long that when I think of Joey I can still remember his laugh, his jokes and his amazing positive attitude. We only knew one another for a little while but I adored him and all the fun times we had. The talks and the jigging lessons he would randomly give me. To his brothers and family I have always kept you all in my thoughts and prayers and will never forget the love your family showed one another. Joey turned 18 a day before I turned 16 and I never forgot the day he wished me a happy birthday and how happy I was to do the same for him. He was so loving and fun to be around and not having my family around me at such a young age he always made me feel like I mattered. I will always be so lucky to have known him. Rest easy Joey and I will always adore you. Till we meet again, happy birthday and (((hugs))) for each birthday that has past since you were sent home.

Love you Joey, thanks for teaching me the red river jig, along with your older bro, Sweet Feet, Steven Gladue, thanks Margaret for taking Joey to all those practices and Lyle Donald and Brent Potskin for the Edmonton metis dancers, I have Joey;s ribbon shirts, one of them, and I show the youth all the time, and even let them wear, it, I have myself worn his ribbon shirt and danced the steps he taught me, I pass it onto my son Joel Oulette, to keep the culture alive, Joey you truly were the King of the Red River Jig, and all your brothers, The Gladue boys are one of the best jiggers I have seen, along with Brent Potskin, love you and miss you so much. Jigga Joe
