John Alexander Winburn, 78, of Granville County passed away peacefully Saturday, September 30, 2017 at his home after battling cancer.

He was the son of the late Alexander and Velma Winburn of Darlington County, South Carolina.

Surviving are his wife of fifty-six years, Sylvia Russell Winburn of the home, three daughters; Wynona Winburn Cash (Dale), Alexis Winburn Winstead both of Stem, Bonnie Winburn Campbell (James) of Stovall, four grandchildren; Brandon Earl Cash, Kevin Dale Winstead (Kelly), John Tyler Winstead, Katie Marie Campbell, one great-grandchild, Parker Ray Winstead; two brothers, Aaron Winburn and Don Winburn, both of South Carolina.

In keeping with the wishes of John Alexander Winburn, there was a private service.
