To Judy and family:
You have all my sympathy. I remember, not the day my father died, but the last day I saw him. He blessed all 8 of us kids plus my Japanese exchange student. He gave each of us a final word that was particular to us. I still feel blessed by him. That's my prayer for you and your family, that you will always feel blessed by you father.

Deakie- Grandfather

August 2, 2012

It is obvious that we will miss you, but you left us such a rich inheritance to remember you by...Just reflecting on your absence over the past few days has been amazingly overwhelming simply because we didn't realize the impact that you had on our lives until now...the values you instilled in us, like the importance of going to church, hard work and giving to others are the very foundation of Christian love.  I think I can speak for all of the family when I say that we know that we were loved by you.  Love is not just talking.  The bible says that we should love in word and deed.  You did just that! You will always remain to me as a powerful example of what it means to be a father, husband, and grandfather.  We love you more than words can express and we certainly will miss you! I'm so glad you finally made it HOME!! Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise" (Luke 23:43)
