John C. Glenn, 84, of Hurffville, New Jersey departed this life April 26, 2019 surrounded by his family. John was predeceased by his wife Kate. He is survived by his children Jon (Kathie), Linda Van Hest, Shaun, and Katie (Matthew) Whitaker. John was “Pop” to eleven grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
John was a plasterer by trade as well as a union carpenter, retiring from his third career delivering dish gardens for a local business at the age of 80. He was always a farmer at heart.
Services are private just the way John wanted because “ if you didn’t come see me while I was alive you don’t need to come look at me when I am dead.”
In lieu of flowers the greatest tribute would be a donation in his name to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or a charity of your choice.
