John Mark Collier, John Mark Collier DDS, 60, of Lanett, AL, died quietly in his home on Saturday, July 4, 2012.

 

Dr. Collier was born December 22, 1951, in Birmingham, AL, and was the son of C.B and Lois Collier both deceased.  He attended West Point High School, but graduated from the Westminster Schools of Atlanta, Boys High School in 1970. Although he was a lifetime fan of Georgia Tech football, he attended Auburn University and graduated from Vanderbilt University. He then attended Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry where he graduated in 1978. In 1978, he began his practice in Sparta, Georgia, and in 1979 he established Detroit Family Dental Center, PC in suburban Detroit, Michigan. In 2003 he sold that practice and established J. Mark Collier, DDS, PC in Valley, AL. Dr. Collier was a member of the American Dental Association and the Alabama 9th District Dental Association.

 

He is survived by his daughter Autumn Collier LaMantia and grandson Aiden LaMantia, both of Peachtree City, GA.
