Childhood

Shared by Randy Nylen on February 10, 2019

when we were kids we cruised Redondo Beach on skateboards, bikes without worries , we used to hang at the pier a lot, we were so small the jetty of rocks across from the boat lift next to the part of pier that burned down, anyway we would crawl in the rocks and follow tunnels underneath the rocks and emerge at the end and we would hear people above us so we would make noise and hear them say what was that, we thought it was funny.

Other times John , Jack and myself would go under the pier and fish for piling perch, once we were at the horseshoe which is the beach in front of the pier and their was a big swell so we used to run when the ocean went down a d when the waves came in run from it and Jack got caught by the whitewash and dragged back into the sea and John and I had to rescue him , we pulled him up in the sand and he was laying their catching his breath when another huge set rolled in and pulled him back out, John and I laughed are asses off.

We had lots of fun playing tag in the neighborhood that's for sure, some good memories, not fair he worked to retire ready to enjoy life and for this to happen to him.

He came to Florida 3.times and stayed with us when he was doing showes for his work, it was nice to see him, even though we were not blood brothers we will always be brother's,  see you on the other side bro.

I attached a song I wrote for when I die to be played at my funeral called Conversations Of Souls, seems right to have it for John instead.

        Love your brother Randy
