Dad you are missed everyday I just want you to know that I was blessed to have you as a dad. I will never forget your gardening, your love for fishing and being outside. We lost each other for a while, but we were fortunate enough to get back together for a while before you left. I have new memories of you

Dad,
I think of you every time I take a walk in the woods or have a fishing rod in my hand. Every time I go by a boat landing I am reminded of all the great times we had. When the seasons change I think of you and how you appreciated them all. You were such an avid outdoorsman without even trying. You just were. You were the dad everyone wished they had. We miss you and your humility, your sense of humor and your kindness towards everyone.
You were one in a million dad.

The Love of God
1 The love of God is greater far
than tongue or pen can ever tell;
it goes beyond the highest star,
and reaches to the lowest hell.
The guilty pair bowed down with care
God gave his Son to win;
his erring child he reconciled,
and pardoned every sin.
Refrain:
O love of God, how rich and pure;
how measureless and strong!
It shall forevermore endure,
the saints' and angels' song.
2 When time at last shall pass away,
and earthly thrones and kingdoms fall;
When those who here refuse to pray
on rocks and hills and mountains call;
God's love, so sure, shall still endure
all measureless and strong,
redeeming grace to Adam's race, day
the saints' and angels' song. [Refrain]
3 Could we with ink the ocean fill,
and were the skies of parchment made;
were every stalk on earth a quill,
and everyone a scribe by trade;
to write the love of God above
would drain the ocean dry;
nor could the scroll contain the whole,
though stretched from sky to sky.

Missing You
I've missed you so very much
Since you went away
And wondered what you've been up to
And how you spend your days
I just want to let you know,
You're in my thoughts each day
And I long to see your smiling face
Just one more time, I pray
Love and Miss You , Lil

Dear John how we miss you, you are always in our Thoughts
And on our Hearts❤️

Although we miss you so very much
We know we'll see you once more,
For this is the hope we have in God,
Being re-united in the Lord

For you're so special to all of us,
A wonderful person indeed
Your love, laughter and warm smile
Reflected a heart that believed
Just in the everyday things we do

We remember your faith and love
In the words you spoke to help us through
Is a continued reminder for us
And as we think of you we continue to share
Special times we went through,
For these are memories that warm our hearts
As we honour the memory of you.
Love Lil and your Family

Missing you dad..... your garden is still going strong thru me, you are always in my mind while I’m watering and just enjoying my backyard because you always like to sit and look at the yard and watch the birds.

Dad.........we laughed so often. All those jokes you told over and over, same old jokes but still were just as funny as when you first told them.

I remember how strong grandpa was. When my sisters and I would go to visit he could lift each of us up while we hung onto his biceps. He was such a dependable grandpa!

And I remember we would always play with his hair putting it in pigtails and rediculous styles! And he would always say he was beautiful John with a silly joke.

He was such a jokester too. Always singing about chickens and telling the same kind of jokes but they were always funny to me.

I loved hearing him play guitar and the harmonica and tell his stories about before he was in the military. I could have listened for a long long tine.

He always used to feed the dog bologne and he always had plain donuts around to have with his coffee. He made the best chicken nuggets I've ever tasted amongst all the other awesome treats he made. We were always spoiled going to the grandparents house! Even if we wasted it watching cartoons a lot!

I could probably go on forever talking about everything. I only wish I spent more time with him. I'm so glad we have heaven to look forward to where We will catch up and go fishing and talk about all the things that happened after he went home. Love you grandpa! Love you too grandma!

Lillian, l love this picture of you and John. I have been thinking about him lately, especially when I pass a corn field. I can him saying, the corn needs to be "Knee High by the 4th of July. " The corn is growing nicely here and I sure John is watching it grow everywhere. I am so glad I had the opportunity to know him. He was a wonderful man. He always made people laugh. You have a wonderful day. Hope to visit Minnesota next summer.</
