Loving Memories of John

April 17, 2016

John Friendt was born on June 30, 1918, in St Paul, Minnesota. He was the son of John and Anna (Ebeman) Friendt. John was baptized as an infant, and later confirmed in his faith as a youth at Gustavus Adolphus Lutheran Church in St Paul. He received his education at the St Paul Johnson School. John entered active military service in the United Stated Army on Febuary 26, 1942, and served his country during World War ll. He received an Honorable Discharge on September 27, 1943.
It wasn't long after he came home he was united in marriage to Roseanna Jean Ashleg. They were married on October 23rd,1943 and I believe it was in Wisconsin.
They had two children, John Allen and Kay Karen.
Roseanna Jean passed away on and at that time they were living in Michigan.

On May 4th 1963, John was united in marriage to Lillian Beck Koertge in Southfield Michigan. John was blessed with six children. John and Lillian lived in Farmington Michigan from 1963 to 1965 and then they moved to International Falls Minnesota this is where they raised their family. John was employed at Boise Cascade in International Falls Minnesota as a Mill Operator, he retired in 1984. In July 5th 2005 John and Lillian moved to Hutchinson Minnesota to be closer to their Daughter and Son in law. John and Lillian shared a Wonderful Happy Marriage of 49 years.

John enjoyed fishing; he was a very patient fisherman. He enjoyed music especially playing the harmonica and guitar together. John was an avid gardener it gave him great pleasure watching his corn, tomatoes and cucumbers grow. He especially cherished the time he spent with his family, grandchildren and friends.

John passed away Sunday, April 29th 2012, at the Hutchinson Community Hospital in Hutchinson, Minnesota, at the age of 93 years.

We all miss John so much and not a day goes by that memories of Him bring tears to our eyes. He was a wonderful Husband, Father, Grandfather and Friend and can never be replaced but we are so thankful for all the wonderful memories we have. Also we are so thankful to have the Blessed Hope we will be together again with Him when we have a wonderful Reunion together in Heaven.
