Volunteered one day after the 911 attack at Ground O in New York City on the rescue and clean up recovery team. It took 12 years but he contracted 4th stage lung cancer partially brought on by the ash and his 30 years of service. A good Chicago Irish Catholic man. He gave his life so others could live. I will always love my big bro. The day you died so did I. My life has and will never be the same. Only by living what you have taught me about life and people. Honesty and Integrity and always tell the truth. and yes.......it was my way....
