John H. Phillips Jr, aka “Lil John”

On Friday April 17, 2020, John completed the final chapter of his story here on earth, and accepted rest from his journey and adventures. Known as the life of the party, he made every moment memorable. He would argue and debate with anyone, but he had a giving heart that extended to those in need. He was stubborn and hardheaded, but he lived life just the way he saw fit. Some may say gone too soon, but we trust that our time together was part of a perfect plan. Rest our beloved brother, we will be united again. Meanwhile, Vickie Phillips (mom), Laquada Casey (sister), Judas Casey (brother), Victor Phillips (brother), Ja’tika Hall (daughter), Johntay Phillips (son), along with a host of family and friends, will keep you alive in our hearts and memory. Blessings to all of you who supported Lil John throughout his journey. Thank you! A memorial service will be held on a later date.

This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, John Phillips, Jr. 39 years old ,born on May 8, 1980 and transitioned on April 17, 2020. We will remember him forever.

Brother

April 30, 2020
I am broken with thoughts of not being able to hear your voice. But I have peace in knowing that you are not suffering with the things this side of life can bring. Rest easy bra, for I know you are not alone. We will celebrate your life just the way we celebrated together, and we will keep you alive in our memories with all the stories we wrote together. Your little brother is strong is what you always told me to be, so I will be just that, while celebrating this as another victory.
