My first contact with John was because his father-in-law was wanting to help him find out more about HIS Avery roots.....I can never thank him enough for helping me find my 1st cousin's son. John introduced himself as the Great Ooga Booga and shared with me the loves of his life...Dawn, Beth, and Sean. I never got to physically meet them but they each have brought me great joy each time I've spoken to them. John was a beacon of hope and light to me after my husband passed away and I hope I can ALWAYS be there for his family. I thank God every day for knowing my wonderfully awesome cousin THE GREAT OOGA BOOGA!

John was my daughter's love of her life. He was also the much loved father of my grandchildren. He fought a long, hard fight to be here for them as long as he could. He is sorely missed.

First meeting

June 3, 2016

I think the first time I met John was the day before my wedding to Dawn's mother.  We were gathered at the Richland Hills church building to pratrice  the wedding cerimony.  Afterwards we all  had pizza.  That would have  been Jan 20, 1989.  That same year in October he and Dawn would be married.
