James Phares III,
age 35, was born May 27, 1983, has passed away on March 16, 2019. He was a graduate of Vestavia Hills High School. James
was an avid computer graphic artist who loved his cat Boogie, hiking, and just hanging
out.
He is survived by his mother Michelle Phares, his father John Phares Jr. (Deedra, Lauren, Taylor), his brother Will Phares (Karissa, Liam), and his loving girlfriend Melanie Baskerville. He was loved dearly by many people including his Grandfather Bill Walsh (Jill), his uncles, aunts, and cousins.
His memorial will be a private family service. Your prayers and all expressions of love and sympathy are greatly appreciated.

Always a brother. Always the most true best friend I'll ever have. I hate to have heard this news today, but to the whole family, know that I love you all and appreciate all you did by welcoming me into your lives when he and I were so close. I'm so late in finding out about this, but know that the pain in my heart hopes to ease the burden of pain that has plagued your hearts all of this time.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. My heart aches for you, Ms. Michelle. My mother and I lived a couple of doors down from you in Treetop. James and I are nearly the same age. Your son was truly a kind soul to me and I'm deeply saddened at his passing. You are in my prayers. James was a part of some of the happiest childhood memories I have. I know that time goes by way too quickly and people grow up and grow apart but please know I still carry those memories in my heart.
