Just because you are not here for us to celebrate with, we remember your birthday, your smile and the way you were gentle with Starr. I will never forget the day you told me how you got Starr. Hopefully you see that we think of you often and fondly. Happy Birthday in heaven.

Papa I just finished leaving a tribute to Aunt Jennie, so of course I thought of you too. I miss you both so much. I would do almost anything possible just to hear your voices for a minute. As time goes by it really never gets easier. It gets harder because the more time you are gone I miss you more,& want to break down & cry. I guess it was time for us to part, but it hurts so bad.

Johnny, no matter what I always think of you. I do miss you so very much. We had our bad & good times together, as every married couple goes through. However, I have no regrets marrying you. We brought into this world a Beautiful Baby-Girl, Rachel Ilene Siena, Together. Dear God, Johnny if I had to do it all over again, I would. I, miss you to this day so very much. R.I.P. Love, Carol!

Remembering my Uncle John, who had a heart of gold. My favorite memory is him saving this little dog, Star. Some kids were teasing the dog and he saved her. He loved that dog and it was so sweet. A heart of gold!!

My Husband & Daughter's Father!

Shared by Carol Green-Siena Berger on December 4, 2012

I remember so very well like as if it were just yesterday meeting Johnny.  I was walking my mom's Dog, "Pasha", who I loved. There came Johnny to stop to talk to me in "Marlboro Projects" where we lived at the time. He said he loved dogs & so did I. We walked the dog. Talked. He walked me home. We talked in the hallway for awhile by my apartment. My mom & dad were playing cards. It was on a Saturday Night. Finally, my mom said,"Carol bring him in already. We were in the hallway talking for an hour. He was dressed all in Black. He told me he wanted to become a Priest. He stayed all night in our house, even after the card game was over. My mom said, "Carol, when is he leaving? It was 6 in the morning. He said Mrs. Green, I don't want to leave! My mom said, you must, it's late. We are all very tired. He said, ok. Could I come back later? Me & my mom looked at each other, surprisingly! She said, much later. He came back & from that day on, Johnny came every single day. He was my 1th B.F. He was a trip. He & my dad were telling each other jokes. They had talked like they knew each other for many years. After 1yr, Johnny & I were married, on April 4th,1970. We decided we wanted to have a baby. I picked the name, Rachel, for that has always been my favorite, girl's name to this day! Rachel was a Georgous Baby Girl, & still is. A very giving, caring, loving, understanding, person. A Wonderful Daughter, Mother, Wife, Aunt, Friend to everyone. She is like,"Mother Theresa" God Bless her for all she has done for our Entire Family! Helping me to take care of her sisters & brother. Me having, "Anxiety Attacks"! She has given me, 2 Beautiful, Grandchildren. Michael, my one & only Grandson, who Johnny loved so very much. However he had passed away before Melinda was born, but I know he's watching out for her, like he did for Michael, Rachel, Me, Jennifer, Matthew, Melissa & all my other Grandchildren. He was like,"The Godfather". A very strong man. Protected all of us. He loved to play cards & was, "In The Golden Gloves". He loved Boxing. He even had me watching Boxing. And, he certainly could fight like a real man. He wasn't afraid of anyone. He loved his, Dog,"Star" who I kept after he passed away! He use to play cards with all my  kids & their friends too. He use to go to Esther's house & played cards with her & Rodney. He was very well liked by everyone who knew him! Funny, as all hell. May He Be Resting In Peace With His, Mom, Sisters, Diane, Jenny, who is Melinda's,"Godmother" & his Brother Jeff, who Michael resembles & looks like so much! And my Mom & Dad, who he loved so much. He also worked at my, "Dad's Newstand. Two men took two guns to my dad's head one day. He saved my dad's Life too! He was my dad's,"Hero" like my dad said. Leave it to Johnny, he's something else! I am crying so badly now just writing this. I wish he were here right now. Even sick & dying in the hospital he worried about me, if I had what I needed, since I was no longer with Norman. I visit him in the hospital a good 3 to 4 times a week. He even paid for my carfare's to go to & from the hospital. He knew I loved doing my nails & insisted on paying while in the hospital I do my nails. He just wanted me to be happy. We had become best friends after we were no longer married. He even protected my second husband, Norman who was scared to stick up for his own 3 children. He helped me when I was no longer with Norman to buy my daughter, Melissa's glasses that her own dad wouldn't help me pay for. He loved & treated mine & Norman's children, as if they were his own. Come to think of it, he was an amazing man! I don't ever regret marrying him. For he had alot of good qualities & a good loving heart & soul, no matter what. When he was sick I tried to get him to go to the hospital. he wouldn't go until I fell asleep. Whenever I went to the hospital to see him, he wanted his hero, sauage sandwich, pizza, franks, & his favorite soda was cream soda just like what I love. We shared alot of things &  living together after we were no longer married. He was never cheap like me & Rachel aren't. He is resting now also with Michael's Grandma Esther too. He made her laugh. They are all in Heaven now together probably playing cards! Johnny you are missed by many people & we will all remember all the good, funny, happy, times we had together. Best of everything we were Blessed with our Georgous Daughter, Rachel! There will never be another Johnny or man like him. He reunited with Rachel after we finally found out where he was. My friend Barry he liked best from all the people or friends I have had or knew. He even hit one of my roomates Ian for agravating me so badly who made me cry & gave me anxiety. Who my grandson Michael didn't like at all. He stuck up for his family no matter what price he would have to pay. When he was around I knew me & all my children were protected! If he were here right now, I know I'd want him to put quite a few people in their place who are annoying me. They would never try to mess with me if Johnny were around or else as he would say,"Forget about it". That was one of his expressions. He spoke real Italian. He was even willing to change his relgion for me & my parents, since he did love my parents. I told him no way. You could never pass as a Jewish man. Just one look at him & you would know he was 100% "Italian"! Most I admired about him was he protected his family, my family, my children, no matter never worried if he would ever have to pay a price for any of us. He said as long as I'm here no one will hurt any of us & he most certainly meant ever word of it too! He loved children, & dogs like me. To this day that is why Rachel loves children and animals, especially cats. she now has 3 cats. I call her the cat lady. She cooks, cleans, irons, does laundry, shopping, baking, parties, use to watch two of my youngest grandchildren. Emily & Joanna. Also Jasmine along with her own too. She's a terrific baby sitter too. She also works in her daughter Melinda's school & in the church. Her husband Mark is a very lucky man to have her & she is a lucky lady to have him. They are both hard working people & very good parents. Michael & Melinda are very respectful. They know better! She also takes care of her animals. Her 3 cats, Doves and Birds. I am very proud of her and I know if her father was here, he would be so proud of her too! To end this I just want Johnny to know we are both Blessed to have such a God's gift to have our Daughter Rachel! I do remember everything Johnny did. Yes there were some bad things, but as I am writing all this, there is much more good about him that I will never forget, think of and remember! I will still always be loving you! Peace, love to you My Dear Johnny! And you just keep on watching and protecting us all. For we still need your protection! AMEN!!!

Uncle John

Shared by Stacie Carew on March 14, 2011

I met my Uncle late in life. We would play cards, as I believe it runs in our blood, scratch off loto tickets, and watch movies. He used to hook me up all the time with money so I could go out with my friends. He had the scruffiest dog, but I miss Star. I'm very sorry I never went to see him in the hospital, that is something I will always live to regret. Uncle John, I know you and my mom are up there chatting away and playing some rummy 500. You would be very proud of your daughter and her family. They are wonderful, kind heated souls in which I am proud to call my family. Love & Miss you always. Your niece, Stacie. <3

My Father

Shared by Rachel Siena-Hudson on March 14, 2011

My father passed away from lung cancer. He always was a strong person.I have his strong traits. I was his only child. He was protective, kind, & caring. He never let anyone bother me, if they tried he would put a end to that. He used to pet my hair, as if I was a cat. I used to tease him about that. Now I miss his touch. He was a easy going person, & liked to play cards, watch boxing, & have his movie collection. I miss our trips to Atlantic City.I miss playing cards with him. I miss our father-daughter talks, & shopping together. He wasn't very educated, but he taught me street smarts, & how to protect myself. He loved being around my son Michael. He liked showing Michael how to box, & taking him out for pizza. Losing my father was hard, especially after getting close. I think about him often, & remember all the great memories of him. He never got to see my daughter Melinda, but I know he knows his granddaughter. I feel sadness & have tears as I write. But God has taken a great person home. I will always keep your memories & stories alive. And I do feel your presents time to time. I know you are watching me, & I know threw my prayers you feel my love. My Papa I love you so much & miss you dearly every day.
