Dad, John Joseph Marullo, was born January 11, 1934 in a little house located on Ann Street in Newburgh, NY.  The house is no longer standing.  Shortly thereafter his Mom and Dad, Daniel and Florence Marullo, purchased a home on Henry Avenue in the Washington Heights of Newburgh, NY.
The area is famous for "the Bluff" which offered beautiful views of the majestic Hudson River and Bannerman's Island.
Grandpa Marullo opened an ice cream 'stand' on Robinson Ave while Dad was in the Navy and Dad worked there for a time until Grandpa sold the business.  It was called Dairy Isle and it is still there today. 
Dad and Mom purchased the house from Grandma and Grandpa when they decided to retire to Florida, Dad and Mom raised their four children in that house.
Dad's oldest daughter then purchased the house from him so that she and her late husband could raise their two daughters there. 
When she decided it was time to start a new chapter in their lives, she then sold the home to her sister.   
It remained in the family for 85 years and was sold in June 2014.
