While downsizing and going through many business related items, I realized once again, John's spirit of 'Never Give Up'.  He never stopped pursuing his creative ideas and brought many of them to fruition. Working until he could stand no longer, he was still planning the next 'invention'.....that's why, on his headstone, it reads...Nobody Tried Harder...because he never stopped, even in the face of adversity.
Thanks again to all who visit here ~ we appreciate it!
We miss him still ~ we always will!

Thanks again to all who visit here and continue to remember John. (Renee, your notes mean so much :)
This year, I've been dealing with cancer myself. During every treatment, injection, procedure I have, I think of John and how he went through it first...setting the example to push through it.
5 years...go by so fast...go by so slow. John left a huge void that's impossible to fill...
We miss him still...we always will.
Sincerely,
Leilani and Hillary ♥♥♥

In 2002 John had a stroke making it difficult for him to speak, think and
write. Always being self-employed he only knew one way to approach
it - work! He easily could have gone on disability but instead chose to
go to work every day...it was his only therapy...and in doing so, he
conquered it!
John always believed 'Quitters Never Win & Winners Never Quit' ~
setting a strong example for us!
We miss him still ~ we always will...
Love,
Leilani and Hillary ♥♥♥

This year, I knew I had to find a way to acknowledge John's lifetime of hard work, so The John Munyon Award was established for a deserving welding student at Cumb. Co. TEC. Hillary and I proudly presented the graduate a gift certificate to help further their career in the welding field. Prior, we met with the teacher/students and shared John's story...trying to convey his 'Never Give Up' spirit. With our love and in honor of John's memory, we hope to continue the tradition every year.

Sincerely,
Leilani and Hillary ♥♥♥

Thank you to all who visit here. In doing so, you are helping to keep John's memory alive. The few words written in haste in the obit above, could in no way capture the spirit of his life...that would take a book because each day had a story behind it. He was a Dad and Husband to be proud of...working hard and never giving up! No words can explain our loss. We miss him still...we always will.
Sincerely,
Leilani and Hillary ♥♥♥

Dear Leilani, this is Renee Liss and I want to tell you how sorry I am for you, your daughter and for all of his friends ( which Iinclude myself) on the loss of John. I visited him over a week ago at Penn and he was his same anxious self, ready to get out of the hospital and get back to work with Karl. He looked like his old happy self and I was able to make him laugh a little. He said you and your daughter were on your way and I knew you would straighten him out and make him take it easy. I will miss his smiling face driving his truck through Margate, never hesitating to stop for a minute to say hello. I am happy to have called him my friend and my thoughts and prayers go out to you and your daughter.

My home away from home was at the Munyon's throughout my High School years. Spending time with my "Sister" Hillary and "Mom and Dad Munyon" left me with memories that can still make me laugh 'till I cry. Always a good time and lots of love and especially laughter.
"Dad Munyon" will be missed to say the least. Thank you for the memories. My love and many hugs and kisses to Hillary and "Mom".
