John N. Ruth, Sr., Ewan NJ

John Ruth passed away on September 20, 2018 at age 94. A longtime resident of Grenloch NJ, John was the devoted husband of Joyce Ruth for 56 years before her passing in 2003. Their loving children include Jean and Rudy Soderlund, John N. Jr. and Donna Ruth, Earl and Phyllis Ruth, and Kati Ruth and Ed Zucker. Grandchildren Justine and Dominic Valentino, Nate Ruth, Nathan Zucker, and Naomi Zucker, and great-grandchildren Dominic, Michael, and Vincent Valentino will also miss him deeply.

John was a veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II and retired employee of the SmithKline corporation. He was a member for 65 years and an Elder of the First Presbyterian Church of Grenloch, a 50-year Master Mason at Laurel Lodge #237 F&AM, and an American Legionnaire at Post 521 in Turnersville. During retirement he particularly enjoyed restoring 1939-41 Buicks, Studebakers and other classic vehicles.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at 11:00am on Saturday September 29, 2018, at the First Presbyterian Church of Grenloch.
