Dad was born to Solomon and Doris Birkle, he was welcomed by two older brothers Vernon and Thomas. They lived and grewp up in Leigh Ks on the farm until my grandparents moved to Newton Ks. This is where they finished raising their sons, his two brothers did marry later on in life and dad became a uncle to one nephew Allan and four nieces, Tamera, Denise, Yvonne and Brenda. Time went on and dad met the love of his life Susan they later wed and had six children Doug, Bridget, JohnJr, Kathy, Michelle and Melody. John and Susan lived in Newton  and raised their children for a short while then moved thier family out to the country to continue raising them on a farm They enjoyed the country life until dad decided to move us back to the city. We all grew up got married and had children of our own. Dad was happy and a proud grandpa then later in years he was made a great grandpa and then he really enjoyed time with the great grandchildren
