When I was a very little girl I lived in Louisburg. My family and the Pernells were very good friends and I loved Betsy and John more than anyone in the whole world besides my Mom and Dad. I have such wonderful memories of them and the farm, of going to see Mammy, and of playing

(Cont) with Johnny and Ellen. I haven't seen them for years but I have never stopped loving them. It breaks my heart to hear about John's passing but I know that My Daddy is there to greet him & that they will have a happy reunion. All my love to Betsy, Johnny & Ellen- Mollie

Pops

My grandpa would always make the best breakfast when we would go visit my grandparents. He would go all out and make sure his family was happy. He could make anyone laugh with his funny faces and the sounds he would make. My grandpa always enjoyed watching the humming birds drink from the bird feeder. He thought they were beautiful birds. Only a few people know that he would let my younger cousin Rebbeca and I put a smiley face on his bald spot. Our grandma would get so mad at us for using her makeup. He was the best grandpa all around. He had a huge heart and love for everyone.
